Students at the Agricultural Lending Institute recently participated in a full-day workshop as part of their two-week summer session the Institute’s Fresno campus.

“It was a great way to enhance my industry-specific skills by learning to write documents that won’t make my manager scream!” said Natalie Phipps, a financial analyst with Rabobank.

“John has a very refreshing approach,” added Julie Shore, Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank. “He offers a new perspective and simple, practical writing tools.”

“The workshop provides clear, concise guidelines and lots of practical examples that apply to work and personal life,” said Beth Smiley Senior Relationship Analyst at Rabobank. “It makes you think in a different way about communicating.”

The Agricultural Lending Institute is a joint project of the Ag Lenders Society of California and the University Business Center at the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno and is supported by the California Bankers Association. The program is designed to develop effective leaders in agricultural finance. The Over the last seven years more than 100 participants have successfully completed the training.
